Had an accident not sure what to do?

 

We hope you never need the following information but it is very important to know your rights and what to do if involved in an accident.

 

Step 1

if you need a tow truck you must call 131176

 

If you need police or ambulance call 000

 

Despite what the tow truck driver says it is your legal right where your vehicle is towed.

 

If during business hours demand your vehicle be towed to Dandy Smash Repairs where we will pay for the tow.

 

If outside business hours demand your vehicle be towed home then Dandy Smash will arrange a tow the following business day to the workshop and pay you for the tow.

 

Step 2

Make sure to get all relevant information including

• Drivers name,

• Address

• Phone number

• License number

• Location of accident (street name)

• Time of accident

• Registration details

• Witness details (if available)

 

And it’s always handy to sketch a quick diagram of how the accident happened.

 

Step 3

Call Dandy Smash Repairs on 9792 2322 during business hours and we will arrange a tow if necessary,  or we will make necessary arrangements with insurance company or third party to get the repair process started.
